Hello I’m Kexin

I design to simplify complexity.

Confidential information are modified in the case studies below in order to comply with non-disclosure agreement.

Why I design

Managing everyday life can be overwhelming. Regardless of whether it is to help people get their claims approved promptly or as small as simplifying registration instructions, I strive to design technology and services in ways that trim away unnecessary baggages that slow us down in life.

I believe lesser complexity contributes to a more fulfilling life, freeing up our minds to focus on things that matter the most.

Why simplify

My experience working in tightly regulated industries has taught me that majority of the products are not working due to the complicated processes that drive the product decisions.

Simplifying is thus, an important consideration in solving a problem. Before considering the product, or technology, I first look at why people do what they do, and the processes that resulted.

Adaptive design process

I believe the key to designing something that works is a process that is never fixed and adapts to the context and the nature of the project. I approach problems with an open mindset, understanding before acting, constantly experimenting with different methods and seeking improvements to solutions.
